10 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

10 Things You Probably Don’t Know About Me

about nicole show up Jun 10, 2020

  Hi! I'm Nicole.

  1. I have a fear of heights, specifically hiking on high trails, driving up steep mountain sides, chair lifts, etc.
  2. I worked in a Salon and was a nail technician for 13 years in both SLC and St. George areas
  3. I’m a Dodgers baseball fan.
  4. I’m the middle child.
  5. I played 2nd base for an 18U girls fastpitch team when I was 13 years of age and I was the cleanup hitter.
  6. Embarrassing story… I thought Karl Malone had two jobs when he was playing for the Utah Jazz. First job basketball player and the second job…. Mailman. (Don’t judge).
  7. I’ve been self-employed since I was 17 years of age.
  8. I have a pair of Irish twins… for those who don’t know what that is, two kids born in the same calendar year… even better, they are in the same grade!
  9. I won't spend time with negative people.
  10. Coffee is my sixth food group.

I don't really go by "Nikki B" - But there is a story here.

I’m Nicole Briggs - Not Nikki B. Let me clarify. I’ve never gone by Nikki - just Nicole. There’s a story here:

My daughter had a best friend who called me Nikki B. Sadly, she passed away her junior year of high school, leaving my daughter devastated, me utterly heartbroken and her family...well, there are no words to describe.  She called me Nikki B.  Nobody, and I mean NOBODY has ever called me Nikki. Not my mom, not my dad, and certainly not my husband of 25 years. Yet, for some reason, it stuck.

I really struggled with branding myself as “Nikki B.” After all, It’s not who I am. It’s not what I go by. My friends have never called me up and said “Hey Nikki B, you free tonight?” Yet, I kept coming back to it. So, in honor of my daughter’s best friend and to benchmark how much I’ve grown,  I decided to keep the name in my platform.

You are the pilot of your own life.

The “Show Up” part of my brand is a combination of life experiences - some amazing and some just downright heartbreaking.  These events have shaped and molded who I am and remind me that I am the creator of my story.

I have often said “People just don’t show up for me,” - a sad reality many moms and women in powerful positions feel. I learned valuable, irreplaceable lessons - not by any particular incident - but by a collage of my life, leading me to the final realization that you just can’t expect things from people that they aren’t capable of.

You are the pilot of your own life.

YOU are capable of your happiness, your joy, your successes, your time. It’s up to YOU if you’re going to show up for it.

It's okay if you are a single mom or a woman just getting started in real estate.

Whether you’re a single mom struggling to pay the bills or a woman just getting started in the real estate biz, I am here to help you!

Real estate is hard, especially as a woman... especially if you’re married... especially if you have kids.. and if I can teach you anything… It’s how to show up and avoid making the same mistakes I did without compromising on time with your family and/or personal life.

When I first started real estate, I’d work 12 plus hour days in a room FULL of men.

I didn’t get to do my daughter’s hair. I didn’t get to drop my kids off for school or pack lunches or do all the fun “mom” things I was supposed to.

I went to work. I arrived every day at 6 am and did not get home until 7 or 8 pm. Then, as the years passed, I learned how to become super efficient with my time. I spent less and less time in the office and more time with my kids... and STILL managed to make a six-figure salary. Now, I give maybe 3-5 hours to my real estate business a day and I’ve never been busier!

I love the program I created!

In "Show Up," I give you step-by-step instructions on how you too can achieve this! I don’t want to ruin any surprises, but spoiler alert... LESS is MORE.

You don’t have to go to work for 12 plus hours a day. You don’t have to door knock until your knuckles bleed or call until your ears ring. You don’t have to miss out on anything anymore with your family and friends.

In my upcoming course, I’ll be unveiling my best-kept secrets, as a mom, wife, realtor, entrepreneur - as someone who HAS BEEN IN YOUR SHOES! I’ll be dropping all the cheat-sheets, short cuts, & tips and tricks that I’ve discovered over the many years that will CHANGE your real estate business for the best.

You CAN do this and I can help!

Hope you Show Up! - NB
